What to Study After SPM?
After SPM, many students face tough decisions about their next step. Beyond traditional universities, Malaysia offers faster, more practical diploma pathways. An IT diploma lets you gain professional skills in 12-18 months — 2-3 years faster than university. Even without SPM results, you can start your career through the TVET (vocational education) pathway.

Advantages of the TVET Pathway
TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) is actively promoted by the Malaysian government. The 70% practical + 30% theory approach means graduates are job-ready from day one. TVET graduates enjoy over 90% employment rates. After completing your diploma, you can continue to a degree programme for further advancement. This is the most cost-effective pathway after SPM.
Programme Options at Nova Academy
Nova Academy offers diploma and degree programmes across multiple IT specializations: Software Engineering Diploma, Cyber Security Diploma, Creative Multimedia Diploma, Technopreneurship Diploma, plus Bachelor of Software Engineering and Bachelor of Cyber Security. All programmes are EQF-accredited and awarded by UITM Poland.

Nova Academy diploma fees start from RM19,500. We offer instalment payment plans to ease the financial burden on students and parents. Students may also apply for PTPK (Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional) financial aid. Compared to private university fees of RM60,000-150,000, Nova Academy is a more affordable option.
No SPM Required for Entry
At Nova Academy, the only entry requirement for diploma programmes is being at least 16 years old. No SPM, O-Level, or equivalent qualification is needed. We believe everyone deserves access to quality IT education regardless of their academic background.
